Resin tubing is a tubular product made primarily of thermoplastic resin, widely used in various fields such as industry, construction, and hydraulic systems. Depending on the application, resin tubing can be manufactured using a variety of resin materials, commonly including nylon (such as PA12), polyolefins, polyurethane, fluoropolymers, ABS engineering plastics, and TPEE (thermoplastic polyester elastomer). These materials give resin tubing excellent properties such as lightweight, corrosion resistance, pressure resistance, and a smooth inner wall.
Based on different structures and applications, resin tubing can be divided into the following categories:
Nylon Resin Tubing
With a nylon inner core, an outer layer reinforced by fiber or steel wire braiding, and then wrapped with a polyurethane elastomer outer layer, forming a three-layer structure. It has excellent oil resistance (more than 5 times better than rubber tubing), abrasion resistance (3 times that of rubber tubing), and high pressure resistance, and is commonly used in industrial hydraulic systems.
High-Pressure Resin Tubing
Also known as high-pressure nylon tubing or nylon-reinforced tubing, it consists of a plastic inner core and a high-strength industrial fiber or steel wire braided layer. It is suitable for high-pressure fluid transmission applications, such as engineering machinery, automotive, and aerospace.
Multi-Layer Resin Tubing
Constructed from multiple layers of thermoplastic resins with different functions, such as a low-permeability inner layer with a conductive or adhesive layer in between, it provides functions such as impermeability, antistatic properties, and strong adhesion. Suitable for conveying systems with high requirements for sealing and safety.
Fiber or Steel Wire Reinforced Resin Tubing
Based on the reinforcement method, it can be divided into braided and spiral types, with the number of layers ranging from one to twelve. It can withstand extremely high pressure and is known as "ultra-high pressure resin tubing," suitable for harsh conditions such as petroleum, chemical, and high-pressure cleaning.
Special Purpose Resin Tubing
For example, resin hoses made of TPEE are specifically used for refrigerant transportation in air conditioning systems, possessing good flexibility and low-temperature resistance.
